carrotsthis carrot salad with tahini and crispy chickpeas looks delish

(remove the tops! store in a bag in the fridge)

lettuce mix – it’s fall salad time.

(store in the fridge)

turnips – we suggest that you roast them. We just saw this recipe for roasted broccoli, salmon and turnips with turnip green chimichurri.

(store in the fridge in a bad, remove the roots from the leaves)

beets – the first harvest of this planting, they’re sure to be tender and sweet. Don’t forget to eat the greens!

(store in the fridge in a bag remove the tops from the roots, about ½ an inch up)

garlic – you know what to do.

squash – finally! Winter squash has arrived. We like to make soup or roast it in cubes with root veggies as a perfect fall side dish

(store in a dry place)

potatoes I really want to try this 3 minute hash brown or these potatoes with parsley and garlic

(store in a dark, dry place)

bok choi – try them in a stir fry or added to a homemade wonton soup

(store in the fridge)
