week 7 2019

It’s a surprise bag kind of week! the surprise will likely be tomatoes or cucumber, but might just be eggplant.

week seven includes

lettuce

basil

dill

parsley

garlic

carrots

scallion

zucchini

beans – extra generous portion

What to do with them? How to Store? Recipes below!

garlic – we don't need to tell you who to use up this little gem.

(keep in a dark/dry place)

(store in the fridge in a plastic bag)

lettuce mix – you know the drill.

scallions – we love scallions, you can add them to just about anything!

(store in the fridge in a bag)

carrots – don’t forget to use the carrot tops in recipes. How about this carrot top soup?

(Remove the carrot tops (they leach moisture from the roots) before storing them both in plastic bags in the fridge)

basil – use this fresh in recipes! see below

(store in the fridge for 2-3 days if you must, but ideally you’d use up quickly and store in a glass with a bit of water on the counter)

parsley – tuck it into a glass with an inch of water at the bottom and leave in the fridge.

dill – there are so many things you can do with dill. Make a cocktail, fry some eggs, stir into scrambled eggs, add to a salad, pickle some things – pickle some beans!!!
