zucchini – we're at the end of the season folks! I know there has been a LOT of zucchini, but this is really it.

(store in the fridge in a plastic or paper bag)

carrots – remove the tops from bottom before storage.

beets - check out this recipe for heirloom tomato and beet salad. We love the idea of this sparkling beet lemonade. We've also been meaning to try out this sweet beet martini. Why not use up your beet greens in this milk-braised beet greens recipe. Also, this roasted beet and garlic pesto look good.

(remove tops and store in the fridge)

parsley – this White Bean Soup with Garlic and Parsley looks good.

(tuck into a glass with an inch of water at the bottom, store in the fridge or on the counter)

squash – both delacata and spaghetti squash this week! yum. Time for roasting!

(store with potatoes and garlic, in a dark, cool place)

turnips – bring on the fall veggies!

(store in a plastic bag in the fridge)

rutabaga – add to your roasted veggies

(store in the fridge)

radish – both daikon and watermelon

(store in the fridge in a plastic bag)

leeks – mmm leek and potato soup! Don't forget to wash them thoroughly.

kale – the last of the season. Make some kale chips or a kale salad!

(store in the fridge in a plastic bag)

peppers – both sweet!

(store in the fridge)

bok choy – these beauties would go really well in a soup or stirfry

(store in a plastic bag in the fridge)

scallions – so small and tender! what a treat. we like to grill them

(store in the fridge, or in a glass with some water in the bottom on your counter)

parsnips – add to your roasted veggies

(store in the fridge in a plastic bag)

potatoes – wow, they're beautiful this week!

(store in a cool, dark, dry place)
